Despite his modest disposition, Bruce Griffin is one of the most successful trainer/handlers in the horse world today. His large and ever growing list of awards and accomplishments is undeniably impressive while his gentle disposition, natural talent, drive and passion have made him well loved and respected in the sport horse community. Bruce works successfully with many breeds and in many disciplines. He made history in 2001 with the Friesians in The Netherlands when he became the first American invited to present stallions at the prestigious Hengstenkeuring, the National Championship Friesian stallion show. There he was praised for presenting horses so well that the judges "were almost unable to identify conformational faults". He holds the most championships to date at the Friesian Grand Nationals. In 2005 he won Dressage at Devon’s first annual Sportsmanship Award. Bruce worked as an apprentice to the famous Jeff Wonnell for over a decade. Much to Mr Wonnell’s pride, Bruce has become one of the most talented trainers in the horse world today.

In addition to Bruce’s full time career he is also very passionate about the youth program “Transition Academy” created by Bruce and his wife Staci. Having grown up in a gang-dominated area of Sacramento, Bruce avoided perils by focusing on his love of horses. "I was given an opportunity growing up that most kids don't get," Bruce Griffin said. "I've been working for a long time to be able to give back."

Bruce Griffin is probably one of the most versatile trainers and showman in the Friesian Show Circuit.  Even though the circuit has only been recognized since 2004, Bruce has over 75 National wins with Friesian's alone in Western, Saddle seat, Tandem Riding, Driving, Ride & Drive, In-hand, Liberty, Dressage, Hunter Pleasure, and English Show Hack. Notably a true horseman, Bruce has also won numerous National titles in other breeds, Trakehner and ISR Oldenburg stallions, and several titles like USDF, DSHB HOTY, Dressage at Devon Grand Champion, Mature Horse, Young Horse, and Arabian Horse Pacific Slopes Champions.
When it comes to presentation in hand, Bruce is truly a phenomenon!   From coast to coast Griffin has achieved 26 IFSHA World and Grand National Championships – Halter / Sport Horse in Hand, and 13 Reserve Championships.  With his passion for youth showmanship, and In-hand Bruce was honored to receive the first John JP Perry Memorial Perpetual Trophy for Sportsmanship at Dressage at Devon, in 2005.
In his own words, "I have been blessed with owners who believe in me, and talented horses that are willing to perform to their potential."
